[i]nacho_cheese posting in [i]macintosh: Address Book and Thunderbird

I have Googled my little heart out with no success, so I'm hoping someone can help me out here.

I have a lot (A LOT) of contacts in my Apple address book, and I want to add all these contacts to my Thunderbird account. However, I don't want to do each entry individually -- that would literally take forever. Exporting address book and importing it into Thunderbird won't work either, unless I want to spend a ton of time fixing the entries. Is there a simple way to import all my address book contacts into Thunderbird and have them all entered correctly?

Thanks! :)

[i]netbug009 posting in [i]macintosh: Yay for Dumb NOOB questions!

Hi guys! So, the iTunes store recently started putting up HD versions of the Pixar films. I've been wanting to get a digital copy of WALL-E, so I'm really excited about it. But I was wondering if there's anything specific you need to have for HD to work or anything like that?

Oh, also, does an iTunes HD movie play on an iTouch, or include an iTouch version, or something like that?

Thanks!

Hi everyone!

My love and I would like to play WoW together in a casual way, and without any random guild invites. The guild bank would also be very welcome at a later time. But since we started playing on Azuremyst just recently, neither one of us has the gold to bribe people into signing our charter. And to be honest, I don't want to bother everyone I come across.

So here I am requesting your help :)

[i]ericalily posting in [i]appleiphone: sync problems

I have a user whose iPhone won't sync properly to his exchange calender on his PC. I am responsible for smartphones at my work and have been troubling shooting this issue for a few days and can't figure it out. I went into setting and hit sync, which didn't reconcile anything. He can accept a meeting notice on exchange on his pc and on his iPhone it will show not accepted. Does anyone know how to make it sync. It's not limited to recurring meetings, or people outside the company.

[i]hazelofdoom posting in [i]macintosh: Help regarding Boot Camp and rEFit.

Ok so I just installed Boot camp on my Macbook (My operative System is Tiger) and yes I did trick Boot camp into running by changing the date setup (Not proud really). My problem starts after I installed rEFit and tried to install Backtrack 3.

I´ve got a tutorial (very detailed one) but I have no idea if I should install Linux first. Anyone knows if I should? Because the Backtrack cd won´t boot and I did not install windows or Linux .

Any help would be welcomed fellow mac users :)

[i]wintersweet posting in [i]macintosh: CS3 + Snow Leopard

Have the Snow Leopard + CS3 problems been resolved? (If not, I'm guessing they're not going to be.) I'm on 10.4 still, so to get to Snow Leopard I have to upgrade to 10.5 first ($?) and then I'm planning to buy the $129 (Amazon price) box set, and then I won't really have money left to throw at Adobe, even for the educational version.

[i]texasts posting in [i]macosx: Disk is completely filled up

The startup disk on my MBP filled up completely over the last day or so. It was getting up there, but on Wednesday *the last time I checked* there was 14 GB free. When I woke the old boy up this morning, I was greeted with the "Startup disk is almost full" message.

Poked around but I must confess I am not really sure what I should be looking for. Or how to, really.

But I looked around found a few redundant files, moved them to the trash, emptied it. The disk size briefly fluctuated and almost immediately went to zero KB available.

I haven't got a clue what is going on here.

What should I be looking at or for?

[i]kabuki_callgirl posting in [i]appleiphone: Apps?

Hi there. Yes I know I am horribly new. New to iPhone as well.I got working fully on thurs morning Aussie time and I am already addicted.

Alright here is the question, does anybody have issues with sounds with certain apps. I ask because I have become hooked to " spore origins" game and every now and then the sound will go really quiet and then go back up again after maybe thirty seconds. I know it's not how i hold my phone because it's the only app that does it. Has anyone else played it and have the same issues?

Also does anybody have any recs for games like spore, I feel i may finishing it soon and I would not Mind something similar

[i]liquidcross posting in [i]macosx: Firefox hanging upon startup

Here's a tricky one for you: after my Mac wakes up from sleep (either display sleep or full sleep, it doesn't matter which), Firefox will not start up properly. The icon will bounce, then stay "lit," but the application window never appears, and I have to force quit. The only way to fix it, so far, is to log out then log back in. As you may guess, that's a pain. Anyone else have this issue? And more importantly, how did you fix it? (The obvious choice - never let the system go to sleep - is not an option for me.)

PS - I'm running an iMac 21.5", 4GB RAM, OS X 10.6.1, and Firefox 3.5.5. Addons are Echofon, Adblock Plus, and NoScript.

Ever since I upgraded to the latest version of Safari, I've had these funny downloads automatically pop up called ch.ashx.
